What Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida Had to Say about Posture?

The way I stand and my posture really complicates my opponents; they don’t understand it and don’t know what to do about. The way I stand there in front of them really throws them off.

Who is Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida?

Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who, after a successful career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), made a comeback to the sport in 2017 by signing with Bellator MMA.

Machida’s fighting style is unusual and combines techniques from various martial arts, such as Shotokan karate, sumo, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. This makes him hard to predict and often leads to wins against more experienced opponents.

In 2008, Machida was crowned the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, becoming the first fighter from Brazil to hold a UFC title. However, his MMA career was put on hold in 2016 when he was suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency for 18 months.

He made a comeback on October 8, 2017, and he is currently signed with Bellator MMA, 2nd Largest MMA promoter in the world.
